Look No Further To Enhance Your Living Space: Home Decor Perfect For Fall

I’m a relatively new homeowner still adjusting to the high cost of groceries and what it takes to maintain a property. I had many grand plans for home decor in my new space, but as I moved in, decision paralysis took over. I don’t have cozy little end tables stacked with trinkets, and most of my walls are still blank.

If you’re anything like me, practicality and whimsy take priority when decorating a space. It can be hard to embrace those ideals while on a budget. Don’t worry – making your home your own doesn’t have to break the bank.

Consider adding these pieces to your home as the fall season kicks off. There’s nothing like coming home to a cozy house filled with everything you love.

1. YIELD Candles

A scent can make any space cozy, and you can’t go wrong with embracing YIELD’s collection of incense and candles. Made with essential oils and coconut wax, these simply designed, minimalistic candles will match and style of decor. I find the unique jar shapes appealing to the eye, and, of course, easy to reuse once you’re done burning. Ethical manufacturing is a hallmark of the YIELD brand, and you can rest easy knowing each piece of their home decor collection was created with quality and functionality in mind.

2. Moss Rugs

My personal home decor style is whimsical and somewhat rustic- I want to feel like I’m living in a fairytale castle surrounded by satisfying textures and unique pieces. Shortly after buying my exclusively hardwood floor house, I decided to add a rug to my bedroom to break up the wood surfaces and add some magic to my space. Naturally, I chose to go with a moss rug. The feel of this rug replicates the textures of grass, making it fun to walk across, and each moss color has a different height, so it really looks like you brought a patch of nature into your home.

The only regret I have with this purchase is that one of my dogs absolutely despises the rug and will refuse to walk near it. If you don’t have an attitude-filled labrador, you’ll have no need to worry.

3. Knit Blankets

I’ve wanted to make my own knit or crocheted blanket for years now, but the prohibitive cost of yarn has put me off the idea time and time again. Fortunately, my local Target happened to carry a stunning knit blanket in a variety of sizes and colors. I went with the Casaluna brand, king size, in the shade dark teal. Since I purchased it in the middle of a Buffalo spring, also known as second winter, the blanket immediately went on my bed. The texture was amazing, and it’s held up extremely well. Now that it’s summer, the blanket is down on my couch, where my dogs like to curl up on it. Thanks to their constant shedding, I can confirm that this blanket is safe to go in both the washer and dryer and always comes out good as new.

4. Aembr Laundry Products

Speaking of laundry, Aembr has a variety of organic, sustainably made laundry products you can use to wash your clothes without worrying about dyes and manmade chemicals. This brand focuses on ecofriendly materials that are perfect for people with chronic health issues like asthma and migraines thanks to their nontoxic ingredients. Aembr is based in Houston, Texas, where all of their products are handcrafted and managed with care until they reach your hands. Fall is the perfect time to get those winter blankets and coats washed, and once your linens are fresh and clean, you can potentially use them as display pieces to revamp your home decor.

5. Crystal Bookends

I have an entire area of my house dedicated to my books, so naturally, I need a lot of bookends. I bought these teal agate ones to help keep my Tolkien book collection upright, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. These bookends are beautiful and have a lot of color variation, and in the year I’ve owned them, they’ve never once transferred color, gotten chipped, or otherwise suffered wear and tear. Each bookend has some felt stickers on the bottom to keep them from sliding around.

6. Benji Sleep Bedding

Remember the attitude-filled labrador I mentioned? She also sleeps in bed with me, and like her mama, she’s very particular about blanket textures and pillow shapes. Benji Sleep, a brand that makes luxury bedding for an affordable price, understands that everyone is picky about what they’re choosing to sleep on. Their blankets, pillows, duvet covers, and sheets are all made with hypoallergenic materials and microfiber, which makes them cool and moisture-wicking. Plus, you can’t go wrong with the gorgeous colors they offer their products in! My personal favorite is forest.

This family-owned brand is ready to help you refresh your home decor, no matter the season.
